Things You Should Consider When Planning Your Thanksgiving Celebration

When planning for Thanksgiving dinner there are so many things that need to be considered. You need to plan the turkey, side dishes and pies. There is also the decorations and setting the table. You may even be preparing to serve a large group with a lot of family favorite menu items.
By following a few simple suggestions you will be able to serve a scrumptious Thanksgiving turkey with all the trimmings and have a wonderful holiday.
The first thing you need to do is create a party planning check list. This should include the menu, shopping list, decorations list, party activities and what to do each day the week before the holiday.
The second thing to consider is what to include in your Thanksgiving menu. Start by planning a menu that has make ahead dishes. Casseroles and pies can be made a few days ahead of time and kept in the refrigerator until Thanksgiving. When Thanksgiving day arrives you can re-heat your casseroles and pies in the oven or microwave.
Third consider asking your guests to bring a favorite side dish or dessert. Most people are excited to help and it makes them feel at home on the holiday. By including others in your food preparation you ease your cooking load and help others to feel special and included.
The fourth recommendation is to set the table a few days ahead of time. By planning the centerpiece and the table setting you can relieve yourself of this worry when your guests arrive.
Finally smile, remember this is 'Thanks' 'Giving'. Enjoy yourself and your company.
